Gitlin, Reinhold and Castner Join Corporate & Business Practice
Royer Cooper Cohen Braunfeld LLC (RCCB) announced the addition of Partner David Gitlin to the firm’s Corporate & Business Group.
Respected both regionally and throughout the world, Mr. Gitlin brings more than thirty-six years of large law firm experience to RCCB. Mr. Gitlin’s practice at the firm will focus on corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, technology development and corporate finance. Mr. Gitlin’s presence will bolster RCCB’s international capabilities, with his impressive experience counseling foreign companies doing business in the United States and U.S. clients doing business overseas.
“David has worked for some of the most well-respected law firms in the region, and his practice will provide great value to our clients and our team of business-minded attorneys,” said John Royer, Managing Partner at RCCB. “David’s extensive background in emerging growth companies and middle market M&A, which includes broad international experience, will help expand our existing Corporate Practice and growing International Tax Practice.”
Mr. Gitlin was attracted to RCCB because of the firm’s innovative approaches to serving its clients. After spending years in large law firms with traditional pricing structures, Mr. Gitlin was especially drawn to the firm’s flexible approach to alternative billing arrangements.
“I wanted the flexibility to offer my clients alternative engagement structures, such as fixed retainer fees and fixed project fees, as well as an overall lower rate structure that does not sacrifice high quality work,” said Mr. Gitlin. “I believe my new platform and business model at RCCB is uniquely advantageous to my clients, who are looking for access, predictability and value in their legal needs.”
Mr. Gitlin comes to RCCB from Greenberg Traurig, LLP where he spent the past five years in the Corporate & Securities Practice, co-leading the firm’s Emerging Technology Practice as a shareholder. Before Greenberg Traurig, LLP, Mr. Gitlin headed the Israeli Practice at Blank Rome LLP. He started his career at WolfBlock LLP where he spent his first twenty-eight years and chaired the Corporate Department. Mr. Gitlin earned law degrees from both Tel Aviv Law School and the University of Pennsylvania. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New York and Israel.
Recognized by Chambers USA Guide as a leading M&A attorney for the last ten years, Mr. Gitlin is a nationally acclaimed Venture Capital attorney. In 2005, he was honored by the mayors of Philadelphia and Tel Aviv for exceptional accomplishments in developing business opportunities for Israeli companies in the United States. Additionally, he is a past President of the Philadelphia-Israel Chamber of Commerce.
“David’s addition is a testament to the unique approach and culture we’ve established at RCCB,” said Neil Cooper, Executive Partner at the firm. “His experience, along with the addition of two new associates to our Corporate & Business Group, will provide our clients with an even greater depth of sophisticated legal counsel.”
RCCB Also Adds Two New Associates
In addition to Mr. Gitlin, RCCB also announced the addition of Associates Laura Reinhold and Larissa W. Castner to the Corporate & Business Group. Both Ms. Reinhold and Ms. Castner will reside in the firm’s Philadelphia office.
Ms. Reinhold concentrates her practice on mergers and acquisitions, business formation and corporate governance, commercial contracts, debt and equity financings, and private equity and venture capital in many industries, including life sciences, technology and real estate.
