Biography

Lizl Leonardo is a skilled corporate and real estate attorney. She has represented domestic and international clients on numerous legal matters involving commercial real estate transactions, private equity, franchise matters, and other general corporate/business transactions.  Lizl has advised, negotiated for, and drafted documents for a wide array of clients, such as buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants, lenders, borrowers, sponsors, and developers in various industries and several key areas covering sophisticated commercial transactions. She has also led and conducted multiple large-scale due diligence projects and extensive research on organizations in the context of clients’ transactions. Her background as a financial analyst for a large national insurance broker lends to her understanding of complex transactions and financial forecasting, ultimately benefiting her clients as they pursue development and strategic growth opportunities.

• Acquisition, financing, and organizational structuring of an $88 million mixed-use property (multi-family/retail) in Philadelphia, PA.
• Acquisition or sale, financing, organizational structuring (including private placement/equity raises), and development of close to two dozen self-storage facilities and operating businesses across several states, aggregating approximately $85 million.
• Handling of all local Pennsylvania matters, including legal opinion letters, in connection with financing aggregating $48 million for two (2) assisted-living facilities in Philadelphia and Bethlehem, PA.
• Acquisition, financing, and joint venture/organizational structuring of a $65 million multi-family apartment building in Philadelphia, PA.
• Sale of a 193-room (together with event space and restaurant/bar), nationally franchised hotel for $12 million in Frazer, PA.
• Acquisition and organizational structuring (including equity raise) of two (2) car wash/lube properties and operating businesses for $7 million in Staten Island, NY.
• Acquisition of a $15 million new construction industrial warehouse in Florence, NJ.
